Fish-scale inspired superoleophobic membrane from cellulose: A Review

چکیده

Nature-inspired technology has been investigated widely. Anti biofouling properties of fish scale inpired to improve membrane performance. Biofouling affects an oil-water separation membrane. The bacterial, coagulant, and hydrophobic oils attach the surface, demanding periodic cleaning. To overcome problems, surface modification materials are introduced namely superoleophobic surface. promises antifouling, high flux, efficiency. Superoleophobic surfaces inspired by scales on that form a hydrogel-like layer their hydrogel repels oil any organic materials, keeping clean. can be mimicked cellulose-based materials. A dense hydroxyl groups absorbs lot water forms bond. with cellulose structure will perform characteristic utilized as functional for separation. This article reviews principle, mechanism, current development, future challenges bioinspired from applications.
